As I mentioned in my previous post, things have been crazy. Every member of our little family has been in a wedding this summer. I am in my wonderful friend Oakley's wedding this Saturday. She is getting married to her boyfriend of 6 years, Matt, at our church in Leeds.
As I mentioned, they've been together for 6 years and she's been waiting for him to ask. Well, he finally did in April. He asked her one Sunday morning right after church. Yes, in the church parking lot. He walked her to her car and held the door while she got in. While she was turned around putting her stuff in the passenger seat, he got down on one knee. When she turned around to close the door, he was there with the ring out. Her response?
At first it was "Shut Up!". Then she finally answered him with a yes, and then the planning began. She and her mom have done an awesome job planning the wedding in such a short time. It's going be beautiful and I'm super-happy to be a part of it.
