I started a post earlier this week about our trip to Auburn for the the Georgia game, but it really just never materialized. As much as fun as we had, I just couldn't get myself in gear to get the post finished. But I think God had a hand in this.
As I started thinking about all of the things that I could blog about, it made me stop and realize all of the things that I have to be thankful for. It seems like such a cliche to say this the day before Thanksgiving, but we really have been blessed by God in so many way.
Below are some of the things that I am thankful for this year:
1) God providing salvation for all of us through His Son, Jesus Christ. I truly believe that this is the thing that humbles me the most. That Jesus would willing lay down his life for mine, so that I will one day be in Heaven with HIM!
2) A loving husband who is there when I need him, who listens even when I'm just rambling about the things that I need to do. A man who would do anything for his God, his family, his friends, and his church. He is my calming balance when everything seems to out of control. I couldn't have been blessed with a better man!
3) Two beautiful, intelligent daughters who are full of life and make our lives so special. They brighten the darkest days when they run with arms open wide for a hug and a big "I love you" ready for me.
4) This special little life that grows inside of me. Only God knows what great things this little one will do, but it's so awesome to know that this little one is already so loved by so many!
5) A family that is there when we need them for anything. In good times and bad times, they stick by our sides and are great wonderful examples of Christ's love for us all.
6) Friends who are absolutely the best. Friends that you may not see for a while, but you pick up exactly where you left off before. Friends that will pray for you when you don't even know that you need it.
There are others, but these are the main things that I am thanking God for this week. From our family to yours, we pray that each and everyone of you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
